Privacy Policy

TableTalk is a conversation card game. You can play the free decks without telling us anything about yourself. This policy explains what we collect when you do create an account, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password. An account is optional: it unlocks members-only decks and lets you save favorite cards.
- Favorites — the cards you choose to save while playing.
- Messages you send us — anything you submit through the contact form.
- Technical data — basic request information (such as IP address) processed by our hosting provider to operate and secure the service, including Cloudflare Turnstile checks that keep bots from creating accounts.
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics tracking, and we do not collect anything about the conversations you have around the table - those stay at the table.
How we use it
We use your account data to provide the service: unlocking members-only decks, syncing your favorites between the website and the iOS app, authenticating you, and sending essential account emails such as password resets.
Marketing emails. If you create an account, we may also send you occasional emails about new decks, features, and TableTalk news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your account or the decks you have unlocked. You can also opt out any time via the unsubscribe page.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share your email address with advertisers or data brokers.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare and processed by the application running on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Sign-in tokens are kept in your browser - or, in the iOS app, in the device Keychain - to keep you logged in.
The iOS app
The TableTalk iOS app talks to the same service and follows this same policy. Decks are fetched from our servers, and if you sign in, your account and favorites are the same ones you see on the website. The app contains no analytics or third-party tracking.
Your choices
- Play without an account — the free decks never require one.
- Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing email via the link in any message or the unsubscribe page.
- Delete your account — contact us and we will erase your account and favorites.
Children
Some decks are written to be played with kids at the table, but TableTalk accounts are for adults. The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the site. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
